Hey look an update!

Well, after a rough couple of months, we're back! We quietly attended NY Comic-Con and were graciously hosted Big Kev's Geek Stuff and Onell Design. Thank you guys!

Jack and Jesse, as I secretly call them, were a few of the Taa'lon figures available at the con. A few more still remain and I've put them up in the store. So get them while they last!

Looks like things are back to normal...

Got a new pressure pot and everything is running fine. I even managed to do a few castings before it got too late to run the compressor and possibly annoy the downstairs neighbors. It's one of the drawbacks of working out of your apartment on the 3rd floor. So it looks like things are back to normal in the webstore. EVERYTHING is back in stock!

So the next figure in the Animus line, the monkey, is being working on and I gotta say, it's looking good. It has nearly double the amount of new original parts! Not 100% sure when it'll be release but I'm aiming to have it done before New York Comic Con. Hopefully by then I'll also have some other figures done too!

If you ordered a Taa' lon (yeah, that's the eagle's name) from the last drop, they'll start shipping sometime next week. Good news and more good news!

Once again I'd like to thank EVERYONE who supported our first release. And thanks to those who purchased figures, they have enabled me to gain the support of investors in this crazy endeavour of making figures. With the money from the investors, I have been able to secure the supplies I need to continue making the more figures.

Orders will begin shipping out next week as there has been delays. Nothing serious, just went to a crappy printing house that I wouldn't use again. Plus I went to California to visit my little sister who was graduating from college. Hopefully this picture of a work in progress head of the next figure will hold you over until then!

This will be the 1st in a line of Glyos figures.

As for his background story, he hails from the planet Animus and is search for his family's killer. As he searches for the killer he meets others from his planet and ends up going on adventures with them.

On a sadder note, due to some unforeseen circumstances I am not longer able to produce any other pieces for awhile. There are still a limited amount of the other pieces still available in store but once that's gone, that's it, until further notice. On a side note, anyone who has ordered these has had their items shipped. So, no need to fret about unfulfilled orders.

Hello and welcome to Cassette Man Studios! Before you go ahead and question why I'm saying this now and not a number of posts before, it's because all those those previous posts were imported from my toy blog: Confessions of a Plastic Junkie.

So I've started this venture of doing my own toys because I dislike working for other people. I'd rather be my own boss than be in a place and situation where I might never settle in. Plus there's no dress code, so if I'm making toys at home, I could be in my underwear and no one could tell me that I shouldn't do that. Of course there's the down side that I have to be motivated but that's not really an issue as this is something I WANT to do.

Anyway, this blog is where I'll put anything that is related to the designer toy scene and my work here. I've got a webstore, Cassette Man Studios, where you can buy any of the toys I make that are for sale.

What follows are a few samples of what is currently available in the webstore.
They are made by various artists and cast by me. Though that doesn't mean I won't have my own work there.

Surprise drop!

Wow, this drop is a surprise even to me! The Jelly Empire apparently has dropped a few Black Jelly Trooper which is a crossover between Jelly Empire, Argonaut Resins and myself. Get one before they're gone!
